Fingers crossed, we'll be able to re-ignite more of the weekly content you've all been used to in due course, but for now the best way to find out all that's going on within the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field is to get along to our remaining home fixtures - not forgetting those of the U21s - and cheer on the lads as we strive to consolidate our position at Step 4 of the non-league pyramid...

THANK YOU

To all who have sponsored, supported, volunteered, played, managed & cheered from afar, Spalding United FC would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU for your invaluable contribution(s) throughout 2018/19.

With one more game to play (away at Belper Town on Saturday 27th April: KO 3.00pm), we're all but safe at Step Four of the non-league pyramid and (God willing!) will continue at this level for the 2019/20 campaign which will begin in earnest at a date to be determined in August 2019.

It's been a tough campaign on many levels with limited success in all the cup competitions and extended periods of frustration in league matches. Manager Matt Easton underwent serious illness in February/March and was absent from the sidelines for a lengthy spell but his Assistant, Lewis Thorogood, and Director of Football, Bob Don-Duncan, rallied steadfastly to help steer the ship: our thanks to all the management, not forgetting another invaluable season from Club Physio Richard Storey.

Most of all, a huge word of gratitude to every single player who has donned the famous Royal Blue (not forgetting Yellow!) shirt this season; their collective commitment to what must have felt at times like a hopeless cause is hugely appreciated and whether we are able to welcome them back next season or bid them farewell as they head to pastures new, their names & contribution in 2018/19 will not be forgotten any time soon: thanks lads - enjoy the summer!

A gargantuan thank you & farewell goes to outgoing Club Secretary, Mrs Louise Maplethorpe, who steps down at the end of this season after three years in the role. Louise has performed the many demanding tasks of administering the club's activities fantastically well and we wish her, husband Chris and the children all the very best for the future. News of Louise's replacement will follow in due course...

Finally for now, here's to the lads being able to sign off with a positive result this coming weekend at Belper Town and every best wish to you all for an enjoyable off-season. We very much hope to be able to welcome you back for our Pre-Season schedule and league campaign after we've all enjoyed a good rest!...
