After four seasons with Spalding United Sam Cartwright has taken the decision to pursue his football elsewhere for the new season, everyone at the club would like to thank Sam for his commitment, Sam played nearly 150 games for The Tulips, we thank him for all his efforts and achievements whilst at the club.
And finally we unfortunately see an end to a long relationship with our “Staino” we look forward to seeing Nathan Stainfield back at the Sir Halley soon with his family so we can all give him the send off he deserves.
Nathan has enjoyed 321 games, two league titles, two playoff finals and two cup finals and is a true legend at the club and his shirt is currently proudly displayed in the clubhouse to keep an eye on all captains that wear the armband after him. Captain fantastic never gave less than 110% in every game he played and we thank him for pulling on the Tulips shirt every time.
Nathan has agreed, after being asked, to attend a game very soon so he can say his goodbyes personally to everyone and we look forward to that day and giving him the coverage and send off he deserves collectively.
With preseason only a few weeks away keep your eyes peeled very soon for some new faces...
