Spalding United marked their return to the revamped Sir Halley Stewart ground by causing an FA Cup shock on Saturday.

The Tulips knocked out National League North visitors Alfreton in the second qualifying round clash which was their first home game of the season.

Goals from Bart Cybulski (two) and Jordan Nicholson secured the 3-0 success as Spalding ended a run of 14 successive away games, including pre-season, with a super success.
