Spalding return home this Saturday as they face Alvechurch FC in the fourth qualifying round of the Emirates FA Cup. The fixture promises goals from two teams in impressive league positions; Spalding in 8th and Alvechurch in 5th.

Alvechurch, located in Worcestershire, have won 6 out of their first 11 league games this season. Their most recent result was a 1-1 draw away at Halesowen with their goal coming from former Tulip Jonny Ngandu.

Some of Church’s most influential players include their top goal scorer Miracle Okafor, Manny Ilesanmi and Jamey Osborne.

The latter of the three arrived from Solihull Moors in the National League, bringing a wealth of experience and stability in the midfield.

Spalding have also recently added Ejiro Abbey on loan from Peterborough United and resigned former Tulip winger Joseph Nyahwema, who both add attacking flair to the squad.

If the Tulips run out winners on Saturday, they will reach the First Round Proper for the first time since the 1964/65 season.

We look forward to seeing as many of you Tulips at the Sir Halley Stewart on Saturday, Come on You Tulips!
