Tulips return to the Sir Halley Stewart!

Spalding entertain 20th-place Brackley Town on Tuesday in our second league match in 3 days. The Tulips return to the Sir Halley Stewart for our first home league fixture since the 12th of September.

Brackley, who reside at St James Park in Northamptonshire, have won 4 out of their opening 13 league matches; their most recent result was a narrow 1-0 defeat to Radcliffe following an own goal from Josh Tomlinson.

Striker, Tahvon Campbell, has netted 3 times in his first season for The Saints after being acquired from Yeovil Town over the summer.

Defender, Kieran Coates, has also made a significant impact on the Brackley squad since being signed from National League high-flyers AFC Fylde.

The Saints most commonly showcase a 3-4-1-2 formation which involves a resilient 3-man defence with a compact midfield that works well in transition. This means they will maintain a constant attacking presence which could trouble the Tulips back line.

Following Saturday’s unfortunate 2-0 loss to Hednesford, Jimmy Dean kept faith in the team, saying that our first-half performance was ‘excellent’ and that the game plan ‘worked perfectly’.

We look forward to welcoming you all back to the Sir Halley Stewart, Come on You Tulips!
