Spalding make the lengthy 100-mile trip to Keys Park to face Hednesford Town on Saturday (24th October) in National League North action. The Staffordshire side currently find themselves two league places above the Tulips in 7th on 18 points.

Similarly to Spalding, the Pitmen gained promotion to the NLN last season via the playoffs in which they defeated Warrington Rylands 5-4 on penalties. This season, they have picked up 5 wins; with their most recent result coming in a 3-2 win over Brackley Town.

Hednesford made an illustrious list of signings before the start of the season, with George Ward joining on loan from Boston United and Danny Whitehall from Scunthorpe; while their top goalscorer, Jamie Cooke, joined from FC Halifax Town.

Following our defeat to Alvechurch, Jimmy Dean expressed his disappointment with the team’s performance, despite the extended list of injuries that the Tulips have now accumulated.

Spalding look to get back to winning ways after recently bowing out of the Emirates FA Cup as well as losing our last two away league matches.

Come on You Tulips!
