Following Tuesday’s impressive display against AFC Rushden & Diamonds, our Tulips face Boston Town on Saturday afternoon (11th July) at the Sir Halley Stewart.

Goals from Sani and Cybulski handed Spalding a 2-0 win in our first pre-season game. Similarly, the Poachers kicked off their pre-season with a 2-0 win over Louth Town on Tuesday evening with goals from Fraser Bayliss and Tom Siddons.

Boston Town look to be an exciting side having won promotion to Step 4 of non-league at the end of last season and winning the league cup in their division. Over the summer, they have recruited well bringing in both Kyle Watkins and Tom Siddons, with the latter having played at Spalding previously.

Tuesday’s performance showcased Spalding’s attacking intent with two well-worked goals securing the win. However, some chances were frustratingly wasted which is something that manager, Jimmy Dean, wants to polish heading into Saturday’s game.
