Peter joins the Tulips as a free agent after spending last season as Peterborough Sports’ first-choice goalkeeper and brings a large amount of experience to the quad.
Speaking about his style of play, Peter said:
“Shot stopping is very important, I’d say that’s my go to, shot stopping coming for crosses, I’d say that’s my bread and butter.”
“However, having a 3G pitch, it’s important that we’re able to play out from the back a bit”
Crook arrives with a wealth of Step 2 experience, something that will be invaluable as the club prepares for life at that level. His knowledge and leadership will add further strength to the squad heading into the new campaign.
When asked about the importance of experience and what it can bring to a team, Peter said:
“I have over 300 appearances in the league, I think it’s massively important to have that experience.”
“Having that experience, knowing when to play and when to go a little bit long and not take risks”
Everyone at Spalding United would like to welcome Peter to the club and wish him every success for the upcoming season.
