Spalding Manager, Jimmy Dean, has welcomed three new faces into the Spalding United Squad with all three available for selection for this Saturday’s FA Cup fixture at home to Matlock Town FC.
Returning to The Tulips for a second time is midfielder Lamine Sherif.
Sherif, who was part of the Tulips Championship winning side last season, joins from Barwell FC. The Leicester City youth product enjoyed successful spells with Ilkeston, Peterborough Sports, Kettering and Accrington Stanley.
Next is a new face in attacking midfielder Jordan Nicholson.
Nicholson joins from St Ives and started his career at Cambridge City where he progressed through the youth ranks, a trial at League One side Peterborough United earnt Nicholson a two and a half year contract where he made his league debut in 2015.
Spells at Nuneaton, Barnet, Darlington, Boston and Herford followed before he linked up with Dean at Peterborough Sports where he gained promotion to National League North via the playoffs.
Completing the trio is Layton Ndukwu.
Winger, Ndukwu, is a product of Leicester City and joined Southend on a season long loan. Following his release from Leicester he spent time at Portsmouth, Albanian side Kukesi and Danish Club Akademisk Boldklub. Ndukwu joined Coalville in March 2024 and has previously represented England at u16 and u17 level.
