The Tulips return to league action this Saturday as they travel to Lancashire to face Chorley FC. The Magpies currently sit 16th in the league, winning 3 of their opening 9 games and tallying a total of 11 points.

The Magpies’ most recent league result was a 2-0 defeat to King’s Lynn Town following goals from star player Jesse Nwabueze and Reece Hall-Johnson.

Throughout the summer, Chorley recruited a handful of young players including the teenage duo of Wilson and Stowell from Preston North End. They also signed Elliot Taylor from Burscough FC, who is currently their top goalscorer on 4 goals.

These signings slot nicely into an attacking 4-2-3-1 formation, with Wilson sitting just behind Taylor offering a dangerous attacking threat.

Following our FA Cup victory over Hanley Town last Saturday, Jimmy Dean had lots of praise for both Sembie-Ferris and Fowkes who have stepped up in place of an injured Cybulski and Ceesay, respectively.
