Spalding face Quakers at home!

The Tulips welcome Darlington FC to the Sir Halley Stewart on Saturday in our third league match of the week. The County Durham side currently sit 4 points inside the relegation zone in 22nd place, having won just 3 games this season.

The Quakers’ most recent result was a 1-0 loss away to Morecambe, with Teddy Collis netting the winner in the 84th minute to snatch all three points for the Shrimps.

Over the summer, Darlington recruited a wealth of experience through players such as Mark Beck from Scunthorpe and Paddy McLaughlin from League Two side York City.

Similar to Brackley Town, Darlington also commonly play in a dynamic 3-4-2-1 formation: Mclaughlin occupies central midfield alongside Lowes, while top goalscorer Dylan Stephenson plays in a more advanced role.

Reflecting on the 2-2 draw against Brackley, Jimmy Dean said the first-half performance was ‘excellent’ saying that we ‘came out swinging’. He had specific praise for Nyahwema who shone in his first home start for the Tulips, saying that he is ‘a class player’ with lots of potential.

We look forward to welcoming Darlington to the Sir Halley Stewart, Come on You Tulips!
