Last season, The Boro finished 13th in the National League North, winning 18 out of 46 games. They had a poor pre-season, producing 3 wins, 1 draw, and 4 losses. Their most recent result was a 3-1 defeat to Bury FC with a goal from striker Jordan Hulme not enough to trouble the Shakers.

Bernard Morley’s side have made multiple key signings over the summer: Michael Nottingham and Tom Davies have joined from Brackley Town and Salisbury respectively. These signings attempt to strengthen Radcliffe’s backline and bring experience and solidarity to the squad.

Following last Saturday’s impressive display against Chelmsford City, Jimmy Dean reflected on last season and said that he wants a more ‘clinical and aggressive’ team that show ‘discipline and composure on the ball’.
