VACANCY: SPALDING UNITED WOMEN’S FIRST TEAM MANAGER

Spalding United Football Club is inviting applications for the position of Women’s First Team Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead one of the club’s most positive and fast growing projects following an outstanding debut season for Spalding United Women.

In their first campaign, the team delivered a hugely successful year, securing promotion and winning silverware.

The team will now compete in the East Midlands Regional Women’s Football League Division 1 South for the 2026/27 season.

Training and home fixtures take place at the Sir Halley Stewart Field, giving the successful candidate the chance to work from the club’s main stadium and be part of the wider Spalding United FC setup.

We are looking for an ambitious, organised and positive manager who can build on the strong foundations already in place, develop players and help take the women’s team into the next stage of its journey.

The role will include:

Managing the women’s first team on matchdays
Planning and delivering high quality training sessions
Recruiting, retaining and developing players
Creating a positive, professional and ambitious team culture
Working closely with the club to support the continued growth of women’s football at Spalding United
Representing the club in the right way at all times

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous coaching or management experience
Strong leadership and communication skills
A passion for women’s football and player development
Good organisational standards
Relevant coaching qualifications, or be working towards them
A commitment to safeguarding, respect and the values of the football club
